Members of the House Freedom Caucus Are President Trump's Top Allies on the Hill
There are two important pieces out this week on FoxNews.com and in the Washington Examiner describing how the House Freedom Caucus is working directly with President Trump and the White House to pass his just released budget, which calls for $163 billion in discretionary spending cuts.
The members of the House Freedom Caucus are President Trump’s top supporters, providing the political muscle both inside the halls of Congress, and outside, publicly generating grassroots pressure on Congress to codify many of the President’s executive actions.
The House Freedom Caucus said this about President Trump’s budget proposal: "This is how you break the Swamp. Passing MAGA Republican priorities in reconciliation with Republican votes — ending Democrats’ leverage against the President in appropriations to fund the Left’s wasteful, woke and weaponized bureaucracy. The FY26 budget is a paradigm shift."
Georgia Congressman Andrew Clyde said: “We’re his No. 1 supporter. We know that the ‘Make America Great Again’ agenda, the ‘America First’ agenda, is the right agenda. But we have to do it in a fiscally responsible way, which the president has called for, and we’re going to hold the House to that.”
Texas Congressman Chip Roy said: "This budget re-aligns federal spending to the priorities of the people: a secure nation, making America healthy again, a Justice Department combatting crime and not weaponized against the people, and common sense.”
Because members of HFC are so vital to passing President Trump’s agenda through Congress, at least five of them are now on the Democrats’ top target list for 2026:

Andy Ogles (TN-5)
Andrew Clyde (GA-9)
Nick Begich (AK-AL)
