This week, House Freedom Caucus members secured a major victory by successfully adding the “Kill the Kill Switch” Amendment to an appropriations bill, striking a blow against efforts to give government bureaucrats and unelected regulators more control over Americans’ vehicles and personal freedom.

The amendment blocks taxpayer funding from being used to mandate or implement vehicle “kill switch” technology that could allow remote monitoring or disablement of vehicles.

“Taxpayer dollars should not fund a surveillance system that treats every law abiding American driver as a suspect. As we work to address very real problems, we cannot allow our Constitutional liberties to be shredded or create a world where every American driver becomes a node for data gathering,” said HFC member, Rep. Freedom Caucus Fund-endorsed candidates went 4-0 last night.

Andrew Clyde (GA-09) and Russ Fulcher (ID-01) faced establishment primary opponents in their respective races, but defeated them soundly. Both Clyde and Fulcher are in bright red seats and won’t face serious competition in November.

In Alabama, House Freedom Caucus Congressman Barry Moore finished in first place in the Alabama U.S. Senate primary election to replace Senator Tommy Tuberville who is running for Governor. Alabama is a run-off state, and Congressman Moore, armed with President Trump’s endorsement, will have a tough fight as he heads into the June 16th run-off election.

In Pennsylvania, former House Freedom Caucus Chairman Congressman Scott Perry (PA-10) ran unopposed in his primary election, but will once again face radical, liberal Democrat Janelle Stelson in the general election.
